本周末，2011亚洲AFR方程式第三站的比赛，在泛珠三角超级赛车节中展开帷幕。今天同时举行了排位赛以及第五回合的比赛。

排位赛于早上10:10正式开始。尽管临近比赛，天空已阳光明媚，但早上倾盘的大雨令赛道依然湿滑。赛事一开始，车手就以全部使用干胎的架势，从维修区起跑。但阿列克谢，则为了保留轮胎到最后，而选择了延后发车。发车后，今次的排位赛可谓惊喜不断。首先，佩卡•萨里尼车队的车手林邦，由于他在周五的官方练习一直处于领先的位置，所以一直备受期待能一举夺下杆位。但从比赛一开始，凯飞车队的日本车手白石勇树一鼓作气，成功超于林邦并最终夺得杆位。而一直紧随其后的林邦，虽然期间经过进入维修区作车辆调整后，速度得到了大幅度的提升。但是最后还是白石勇树获得了他第二个赛事周末的杆位。/ G' n# @  N. B

7 [# S" P6 ]8 g$ M: k7 b& k回归赛事尾段的情况，凯飞车队的俄罗斯车手阿列克谢，虽然在赛事只剩10分钟的情况下发车，但仍能在0.002秒内成功超越林邦，跃至第二。另外，佩卡•萨里尼车队的车手张世成在取得1分39秒之内的车手集团中，表现非常出色，排名第四。非常可惜的是FRD 赛车队的车手李静雯，她在周五的官方练习中发挥出了非常高的水平，但在排位赛的第二圈，她因车胎漏气，只能以尾位出战第五回合的比赛。

Today featured qualifying and Round 5 of the 2011 AFR Series during the weekend’s Pan Delta Race Festival. 1 b1 F( r4 c& c6 |- }/ z
1 W, o6 a" r3 P4 D- z
Qualifying started at 10:10am under sunny skies, with wet spots remaining on the track from the morning’s rain. Drivers started on slick tires and all exited the pit lane at the start of the session with the exception of Alexey Karachev, who chose to start the session late to save his tires for the race. Qualifying was full of surprises as many were expecting PS Racing’s Leopold Ringbom to dominate qualifying after posting times 1.5 seconds in front during Friday’s official practice. However, from the outset of qualifying, Champ Motorsport’s Yuki Shiraishi of Japan placed himself at the top of the time sheet and managed to hold onto pole. This is the second pole position for Shiraishi in two AFR weekends, despite a challenge from Ringbom as the Finnish PS Racing driver became much quicker during today’s qualifying after coming into the pit for car adjustments.3 m& K4 ?+ ~$ o: ]

In the end, Champ Motorsport’s Alexey Karachev of Russia, who started qualifying with ten minutes left, managed to take P2 from Ringbom by five hundredths of a second. PS Racing’s Timothy Teo had a strong performance as the only other driver in the 39’s. Unfortunately, despite doing well in Friday’s official practice, FRD Racing’s Diana Rosario suffered a flat tire on her 2nd qualifying lap and will start Round 5 from the back of the grid.
